Galaxy S21 FE finally launched: Here’s what you need to know

Samsung has finally put out the shutters on Galaxy S21 FE which is arriving around five months after its expected date. The smartphone, which will most likely be the final in the S21 series, will succeed the popular Galaxy S20 FE with enhanced features and specifications. The new S21 FE features a Snapdragon 888 processor, an AMOLED display, and three rear cameras. Let’s have a detailed look at it’s specifications.

Galaxy S21 FE: Design and Display

To begin with, S21 FE is a rather slim smartphone and has the exact thickness as Galaxy S21 which means that it feels quite comfortable when you hold it in your hands, despite being quite larger in size. It weighs 177 grams and is 7.9mm thick. The phone boasts a 6.4-inch 2340×1080 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. There’s also an optical fingerprint scanner hidden beneath the display, similar to the

Pixel 6 and OnePlus 9 Pro.

A cut-out for the front-facing camera runs along the top edge of the display, but it’s not too large. From a design point of view, this has a plastic back which means that on one hand it will last longer and feel very easy to hold onto, on the flip side it just may end up feeling a little cheap in your hands. Moreover, the phone runs Android 12-based One UI 4.0 and is IP68 water and dust resistant.

A 32MP fixed focus camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout in the centre of the display. Both the front and rear cameras can capture video at 4K and 60 frames per second.

Galaxy S21 FE: Battery and Fast Charging

The phone packs a 4500 mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. There are three storage options for the phone: 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB.
