Galaxy S24 Ultra new leaks and rumors

Galaxy S24 Ultra to sport a Titanium frame

Although we are at least two months away from the official launch of Galaxy S24 Ultra, we know most of the features for the past few weeks. One of the most exciting rumors is related to the body construction of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It was earlier tipped that the Galaxy S24 could feature a Titanium alloy frame similar to what we saw with iPhone 15 Pro models. Most importantly, it seems the information is accurate. One of the top tech news sources from South Korea has finally confirmed the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s Titanium frame. As per the news report by TheElec, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature the Titanium frame. It is worth noting that Samsung has been working on the Titanium frame for a long time and has finally decided to put it up for display with the launch of Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Although Apple was able to reduce the weight of the iPhone by switching from stainless steel to Titanium, that wouldn’t be the case with Galaxy 24 Ultra. For those uninitiated, switching to Titanium from Aluminum can make the device stronger and lighter, but there wouldn’t be any significant difference in their weight. This is because Samsung already used lightweight Aluminium with the Galaxy S23 Ultra

Galaxy S24 Ultra to debut with vibrant yellow and violet shades

While Titanium will ensure durability, Samsung is in the mood to offer some playful shades in their next flagship device. According to prominent leaker Ross Young, the new Galaxy S24 Ultra will be available in four basic color options, including Black, Gray (could be Titanium Gray), Violet, and Yellow.

Whereas, users will have the choice of choosing exclusive colors from the Samsung online store too. The exclusive colors will include Orange, Light Blue, and Light Green.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to pack a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC

Talking of performance, the Galaxy S24 series will most likely feature the top-of-the-line chipset. So, the Galaxy S24 and S24+ are expected to debut with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC or Exynos 2400 SoC, based on region. Whereas, the bigger, Galaxy S24 Ultra could feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC across all regions. Talking about it, a renowned Samsung tipster Ice Universe has claimed that the Galaxy S24 series will feature a tweaked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The special chip could be called “Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy”. It is also rumored that this custom chipset is rumored to feature a GPU with a clock speed of 1GHz or 1,000MHz, which could enhance gaming performance on the Galaxy S24 series. The same was also confirmed from a leaked Geekbench listing. To remind you Samsung used a custom chipset at the time of the Galaxy S23 series too and that turned out to be very good for the overheating issues on the Galaxy S23 series.

Galaxy S24 Ultra could feature two-way satellite connectivity for emergency response

In a recent SisaJournal post, Park Yong-in, CEO of Samsung System LSI division mentioned and we quote:

“Samsung Electronics also announced that it will support satellite services for smartphones from next year. It has already been technically prepared to enable communication using satellites.”

Therefore, the company is most likely to use the two-way satellite connectivity for emergency services in the Galaxy S24 series. However, the question remains whether it will feature on the Galaxy S24 series models or only the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
