M2 MacBook Air Specs

The new MacBook Air 2022 is a lighter, thinner, and faster notebook blended with a perfect combination of good looks and powerful performance. It boasts an all-new remarkably sleek design with a larger 13.6” Liquid Retina Display with 500 nits of peak brightness, 1080p FaceTime HD camera, up to 18 hours of battery life, and MagSafe charging support. Moreover, the machine is equipped with new mics and speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The M2 MacBook Air features a fan-less design that promises to deliver noiseless performance when under high workloads. Apple claims that when you edit complex timelines in Final Cut Pro, the latest MacBook Air offers up to 40% faster performance than its previous generations. Additionally, applying effects and filters in Adobe Photoshop and other apps is almost 20% faster than before.

MagSafe returns to MacBook Air

The latest M2 MacBook Air is equipped with an easy-to-connect, dedicated charging port with MagSafe support. This leaves the Thunderbolt ports free so that you can connect additional accessories like an external display, an SSD, or a docking station. In addition to two Thunderbolt ports, there’s a 3.5mm audio jack with support for high impedance headphones. The strikingly thin display of the MacBook Air is paired with a Magic Keyboard that features a full-height function row with Touch ID, and a spacious, Force Touch trackpad.

The base model of the M2 MacBook Air will ship with a 30W adapter while the maxed-out variant includes a 35W power adapter with dual USB-C ports. It’s worth mentioning that for the first time, MacBook Air supports fast charging that can revive the machine at up to 50% in a mere 30 minutes with an optional 67W USB-C adapter.

M2 Macbook Air: Price & Availability 

The 13” MacBook Air with M2 starts at $1,199 and will be available in four gorgeous finishes, including Silver, Space Gray, Midnight, and Starlight. The maxed-out variant with a 10-core GPU and 512GB SSD Storage is priced at $1,499. The all-new MacBook Air and updated MacBook Pro with M2 ($1,299 and $1,499 variants) will be available next month (July 2022) at apple.com, the Apple Store app, select Apple Store locations, and Apple Authorised Resellers.
