Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event was a huge affair with the tech giant launching the S22 Ultra along with S22 and S22+. But to top it all off, after months of leaks and anticipation, Samsung also released its official Tab S8 series which have been touted as the biggest, boldest, and most adaptable Galaxy tablets yet, designed specifically for the new era of connectivity. The Galaxy Tab S8 series include 3 different tablets i.e Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, Tab S8+ and the Tab S8. So without any further adieu, let’s dive into the specifications!
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series: Design and Display
The Galaxy S series’ first Ultra tablet features a massive 14.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The bezel on the tablet is 6.3mm thick making it an excellent display panel. Also, there’s a notch in the left side of the flagship tablet which houses the camera setup. The standard Galaxy Tab S8 has an 11-inch LTPS TFT display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Lastly, the Galaxy Tab S8+ has a 120Hz 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1752 pixels.
Both tablets, like the Ultra, run on OneUI 4 and are powered by Android 12 and also come with an S-Pen in the box. The Galaxy Tab S8+ and S8 Ultra, unlike the normal Galaxy Tab S8, have an under-display optical fingerprint sensor and the S8 has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Also, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra sports a 2.8ms latency S-pen which charges when it is attached to the tablet magnetically. On the other hand, the S-pen on the Tab S8+ and S8 is a non-chargeable one which has a latency of 6.2ms.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series: Camera Specs

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series includes a dual back camera arrangement with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 6-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. An LED flash is included with the camera setup on the rear. In addition, there is also a front-facing 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera for selfies and video calls. Apart from this, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has an additional 12MP ultrawide camera on the front housed in a notch.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series: Processor and Storage
The Galaxy Tab S8 series features the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Both the S8 and S8+ are available with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. All 3 devices have support for a microSDXC card.
Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, 4G, NFC, Type-C 3.2 port, fingerprint scanner, up to 8K @ 60fps video recording, and a quad-speaker configuration with Dolby Atmos support are among the other features. These are identical on all three tablets. Only the Galaxy Tab S8+ supports 5G capability while the other devices have Wi-Fi support only.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series: Price and Availability
The Tab S8 Ultra costs $1,099.99, while the Tab S8+ costs $899.99 and the Tab S8 costs $699.99. They’ll start shipping in the United States by the end of February. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is available in Graphite only, while the Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+ are available in three colours: Graphite, Silver, and Pink Gold.
