Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 Series Launched: All you need to know

Xiaomi has finally forayed into the laptop space in India with its Mi Notebook 14. The Chinese phone maker has launched its Mi Notebook 14 series at a global online-only event on June 11, 2020. Xiaomi has released 3 variants of the Mi Notebook 14 series. Besides, the company has also launched the much-awaited flagship Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition in two variants. The Mi Notebook 14 is introduced at an inaugural price of Rs 41,999 and the Horizon Edition starts at Rs 54,999. 

Last month, Xiaomi launched its high-end flagship Mi 10 5G smartphone, Mi True Wireless earphones 2, and Mi Box 4K in India, and now Xiaomi has also marked its entry into the Indian laptop market. The Chinese phone maker is finally expanding its product line in India as well.

14-inch Full HD anti-glare display with narrow bezels, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and an 81.2% screen-to-body ratio. Plus, it offers a 178-degrees viewing angle for a comfortable watching experience. The laptops are thin, compact, and weighs around 1.5 kgs. The keyboard of the laptop features a Scissors-switch mechanism with a decent 1.3mm key travel, however, there’s no backlit option available. The Mi Notebook 14 is equipped with a large trackpad with multi-touch gestures. Plus, Xiaomi has bundled two utilities out-of-the-box- Mi Smart Share that allows a faster file transfer between the devices, and Mi Blaze Unlock that allows you to unlock your Mi Notebook with a Mi band 3 or Mi Band 4 in a mere 1.2 seconds.

It supports Bluetooth 5.0 and Dual-Band Wi-Fi 5 capabilities. These Notebooks offer a battery life of up to 10 hours, support fast charger, and you’ll get a 65W power adapter in the box. Mi Notebook Horizon Edition

The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition is launched in two variants. Both the models will come with the latest Windows 10 and include the Mi Blaze Unlock and Mi Smart Share software. Just like the Mi Notebook 14 series lineup, the Horizon Edition also offers a battery life of up to 10 hours, supports fast charging, and offers a separate Mi Webcam HD in the box. These Notebooks also features the scissor keyboard, stereo sound speakers, two Type-A USB 3.1 ports, one Type-A USB 2.0 port, an HDMI port, and a multi-touch trackpad along with the charging port.

Xiaomi claims that its Mi Notebook 14 and the Horizon Edition will give a serious competition to the ultrabook laptops from HP, Dell, and Lenovo, at this price bracket and all the credit goes to the top-of-the-line features and a lesser price tag.
