Samsung Doubles the Storage of upcoming Foldable Smartphones

Samsung is a trustworthy name when it comes to foldable smartphones. Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will launch in the next few months but there are no official leaks regarding the specs and features. Regardless, they are expected to offer various upgrades from their predecessors.

Storage upgrade for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 & Fold 4

As reported by Sammobile, both the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 will get a very much-needed storage upgrade this year.

While the Galaxy Z Flip 3 was only available in 128GB and 256 GB variants, the 2022 Galaxy Z Flip 4 will available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB variants. However, none of the models will support a microSD card for storage expansion. Similarly, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is also expected to get a storage upgrade this year. The foldable flagship will come in storage capacities up to 1TB, a much-requested upgrade from the Galaxy Z Fold 3 users.

Pricing for the new Galaxy Flip 4 and Fold 4

The starting price of the Flip 4 will stay at $999. Please note that the 256GB Galaxy Flip 3 was priced higher at $1049.  Therefore, the 256GB Flip 4 model should follow the pricing of the 256GB Flip 3 at $1049 and we could see the 512GB Flip 4 with a price tag of $1149.

Since 2020 Samsung has been reducing the cost of the Galaxy Z Fold series. The 2020 Galaxy Fold 2 was $1,999 and the Fold 3’s launch price saw a drop of $200 ($1,799). So, now we can expect at least a $100 drop which will price the Galaxy Fold 4 at $1,699.

Although these are just estimations predicted from the leaks, current prices, and previous trends nothing is confirmed yet. We are excited to see the next-gen processor the much-awaited battery upgrade, possibly an under-display camera, and much more features in the 2022 Samsung foldable smartphones.
