From Pixel 7 to MacBooks – Here’s Everything Launching This Techtober

October is finally here so we can actually see all the new stuff we saw early this at CES and plan gifts or much-needed tech upgrades. October is full of tech events and launches so people just call it Techtober. Let’s start off with some super exciting launches.   

Pixel 7 Series Launch – 6th October

After being officially announced and leaked for months, Google finally unveiled the launch date for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro viz. October 6, 2022 at 10 am ET.

In fact, today only we got two significant leaks about the camera specs. One leak mentions an upgraded 50MP telephoto camera along with a 5x optical zoom. The other leak is an ad for the Pixel 7’s camera. Here’s a quick look:

Along with the Pixel series of devices, we will also get Google Home upgrades. The next generation Nest devices to upgrade your Smart home.

iPhone 14 Plus to go on sale on 7th October 

Apple dumped the Mini iPhones during the iPhone 14 launch event by announcing the iPhone 14 Plus last month. The iPhone 14 Plus is basically a scaled-up version of the regular iPhone 14 with a larger display and a bigger battery. Early pre-booking numbers suggest bumpy sales for the new joiner in the iPhone lineup.  

Apple Event for MacBooks & iPad

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple might not hold an event this October. The October event usually showcases MacBooks and iPads. Last year, we saw the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets. This year we might only get a press release with a list of upgraded specs. According to rumors, the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros won’t get a design revamp but will receive a spec bump to the M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets. Similarly, we will have no design changes and just the spec bumps in the iPad Pro series and Apple TV. The only device rumored to get a new design this October is the base iPad model i.e. the 10th Generation iPad. According to rumors, the 10th Gen iPad will get an iPad Air-like design and USB-C port instead of the decade-old Lighting port.

Furthermore, we will also get a public launch date for the iPadOS 16. There are also rumors of an M2-powered Mac mini with the same design and a Mac Pro.

Microsoft’s Surface Laptop Launch – 12th October

Microsoft has been actively pushing and updating the Surface laptop lineup in the past few years. They have gotten really good, thanks to improved chips with power efficiency. This year we are expecting Surface laptops to sport the new 13th Gen Intel and ARM chipsets.

Samsung has also lined up their developers conference like Google, Meta, and other tech giants this October. We will be getting a lot of tech news this month. So, stay tuned for more coverage.
