Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Pricing in India

If you’re an Android purist, you are probably a fan of the Google Pixel lineup. The Google Pixel succeeded the holy Nexus series of smartphones, wherein Google took total control of the hardware instead of signing up a hardware partner. What changed with the Pixel was that although Nexus phones were reasonably priced and excellent value for money, Pixel phones were priced high up in the flagship pricing territory.

Last year’s Google Pixel and Pixel XL were priced at par with the latest iPhones and it looks no different this year. But iPhones are always introduced with a number of cash-back and buyback offers which further sweetens the deal. The Pixel seldom gets any such offers and thus the price of getting one upfront turns out to be very, very high.

Pixel 2 pricing-

64 GB for Rs 61,000 (935$)

128 GB for Rs 70,000 (1072$)

Pixel 2 XL pricing-

64 GB for Rs 73,000 (1118$)

128 GB for Rs 82,000 (1256$)

Crazy expensive, right? Without any cash back or buyback offers, these phones are way more expensive than their Android rivals like the Galaxy S8. Even today, you can get an iPhone 8 for around Rs 10,000 lower than the base variant Pixel 2.

So, what are your thoughts on the Pixel 2 pricing? Do you think it’s justified? Let us know in the comments section down below.
